United Methodist Women (UMW)
The United Methodist Women are a group of women within the church who, through care, fellowship, love & support to each other, engage in various mission projects with emphasis on women, children, the elderly and the disadvantaged - in and outside of the church.

The Methodist Women initiates the annual church collection for its Infant Layette Ministry, the ongoing Sharing Cross food & clothing collections & distributions, and oversees church ministries in its part to serve The Baldwin Center – Pontiac, Meals on Wheels, Cass Community Social Services and Central United Methodist - Detroit’s N.O.A.H. “(Networking, Organizing, Advocating for the Health of the Homeless) Lunch Program.

Their service to a community organization each week, enables the Methodist Women to extend substantial monetary support to many local, national & global missions.

The Methodist Women gather as a combined group on the third Tuesday morning and evening of each month and offers participation in various women's book studies, special events, seminars and conferences on a local and national level. Contact us or watch the UMW board & weekly announcements for upcoming offerings!
